I would like to have my list of stolen pocket and wristwatches posted on the NAWCC site, if at all possible. I am attaching two lists, in excel format. There is contact information for both the Phoenix police and myself. I am hoping that some of my watches show up, as it might lead to the return of our dog, who was also taken in the burglary. He was more valuable to us than any amount of watches. I am also sending this information for publication in the Mart next month.

To Whom It May Concern:

I recently inventoried my clock and watch collection and the following item is missing from
a date unknown. It appears that this watch was stolen. It was displayed for years under a dome on our mantel.

The following description is from the Christie's catalogue from whom I purchased the watch in 1987:

E. Howard & Co., Boston, No. 209357

A very fine multicolored gold and diamond set box hinge hunter cased fancy dialed watch with gilt series VII, N-size movement jewelled with gold chatons, Reed's patent regulator,
14K gold cuvette, signed white enamel dial painted  with garland of flowers enclosing gilt arabic chapters on blue reserves, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands within a chased 14K gold case with applied multicolored gold flowers enclosing a horsehead and horseshoe set with seven old mine cut diamonds and with monogrammed cartouche within a border of flowers and foliage.

Apparently, stolen from home in Brandon, Florida prior to our move:

A watch was taken from my home in Merrillville, IN. between Aug. 29 and Sept. 3. The watch was a 16 size 21 jewel Illinois Bunn Special, s/n 4660423. It had a double sunk white enamel dial with bold numerals, signed Illinois. The case was a yellow gold filled NAWCo Security model, s/n 7233932. It was missing the bow, and had a plastic crystal.

A police report was filed with the Merrillville Police, and they have pictures of the watch.

I believe the watch is still in NW Indiana, possibly Gary or Hammond.
