This 2 day workshop is an introduction to the use of the micro lathe. The participants will learn the basic skills and techniques involved in the use of the micro lathe. The topics covered will include:
This is a hands on workshop open to all interested individuals. Although the class will focus on horological techniques other subjects will be covered as well. Machining procedures covered in this course are the same as used by manufacturers to manufacture watch and clock parts.
All materials, supplies and machinery will be provided.
The workshop will be held at the NAWCC School of Horology on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30. This includes two 15 minute breaks and 1 hour for lunch.
