The Repair Center was opened in 2009. At the Repair Center, timepieces are repaired by recent graduates of the School of Horology, who work in an apprenticeship setting under the supervision of School instructors. All completed work is checked by a School instructor before returned to the owner. Apprentices normally work at the Repair Center for one year. School of Horology Director Jim Michaels explains, “This program is a 'win-win' situation for everyone–allowing our graduates to gain additional experience, creating an opportunity for those in our community to have vintage timepieces restored, and helping to support the School.”
