Anniversary Clock Repair

Many clock shops turn away customers with these types of clocks. If we know how to repair them, they can be very profitable and enjoyable. Anniversary, or 400 day clocks, are frequently encountered and are often poorly understood by the repair person. We will study and repair these clocks with emphasis on the problems unique to them. We will also briefly look at the Atmos clock and discuss service procedures for this unique timekeeper. Upon completing the course the student should be able to:

-Disassemble and reassemble the 400 day movement

-Adjust the escapement of 400 day clocks

-Select and install the correct suspension spring

-Set the beat

-Regulate the timekeeping of the 400 day clock

Prerequisites: WS-500 Clock Escapements, or consent of the instructor.

Tools Student Required to Bring:

THE STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPLYING AN ANNIVERSARY CLOCK FOR THIS CLASS. Please contact the instructor with any questions.

The workshop will be held at the NAWCC School of Horology on Wednesday-Thursday, between the hours of 8:30 and 5:00.  This includes 1 hour for lunch each day.
