F101 – “Introduction to Basic Time & Strike...The American Kitchen Clock”
This course covers the eight-day, time and strike clock movement with open mainsprings, typically found in "American Kitchen" clocks. No prerequisites. (Instructor: Bill Knaak).
F301 – “Introduction to Basic Pocket Watch Repair: The American Pocket Watch”
This is a pocket watch course for entry-level students wanting to learn the fundamentals of watch repair. No prerequisites. (Instructor: Lehr Dircks).
July 1-3, 2013
F502 – “The Atmos Repair Course”
This two-day course is for the advanced student who wants to learn the repair of the Atmos clock. Prerequisites - At least one year of clock or watch repair experience, plus completion of either the FSW F102 or F301 courses. (Instructor: Jeff Hamilton). See required tool list.
July 1-3, 2013
F501 – “The Repair & Replacement of an American Strip Recoil Escapement Course”
This two-day course will instruct the student on how to repair and replace the recoil strip escapement generally used in an American open spring clock. No prerequisite course; however, there is a requirement for a specific movement as described above. (Instructor: Fred Tischler).
