About the Cover

Matthew, the happy engineer, and sister Julia, the stern conductor, are keeping the train on time for the holidays. The train is an actual live steam operation on the front yard of a good friend of ours here in Knox, Indiana. The kids are equipped with their own Hamilton 992 watches, safely moored on heavy chains. Behind them is daddy's Hamilton 992 Elinvar in a Model 6 case.

On a recent trip to deliver artwork, Diana Burnett met my son Matthew, who was wearing overalls and carrying his own watch. She asked if we could place a picture of him on the cover of the December edition of the magazine. I offered to do the illustration. I couldn't say no. the original artwork has already been sold However, limited edition giclee fine art prints, limited to 300 editions, are available through my website at: www.mictchmarkovetz.com.
