Chapter Highlights Submission Guidelines
The happenings at Chapter meetings in the United States and worldwide appear in the Watch & Clock Bulletin.
What’s in a Highlight?
Reporters should summarize the educational content of programs, workshops, and Chapter- and community-related horological projects. All watch, clock, or other horological items discussed should be briefly described. Reporters should also mention future meetings, topics, and speakers, as well as members who recently passed away. All reporters must sign their name to their report; it will appear as a tagline at the end of the submission when it is printed in the Bulletin.
Reports are limited to 600 words due to space constraints.
Photographs must be high resolution with a minimum of 300 dpi or 500 kb in size. Submit the photo as an attachment to the email; do not embed the photo into the text or in an email. Only one photograph per Chapter is permitted because of space limitations.
Each report will be edited for length, clarity, spelling, grammar, and style. Treasurer’s reports, pricing, controversy, and discussion of non-horological items will not be included in the reports.
The deadlines for each issue are:
Issue months | Deadlines |
---|---|
January/February | November 10 |
March/April | January 10 |
May/June | March 10 |
July/August | May 10 |
September/October | July 10 |
November/December | September 10 |
Here is a sample format with subheads to use in the report; if there is no content for a subhead, move to the next subhead. Note the information that is required, and update changes as necessary.
Follow this template to accurately submit your Chapter Highlights.
Reports and questions should be submitted to chaphi@nawcc.org.
