NAWCC Financial Support

The NAWCC is committed to being the world’s leading, educator, and advocate in the field of horology and for everyone interested in timepieces and horological issues. In support of this, we house and curate the National Watch & Clock Museum (containing North America’s largest collection of timepieces) and the world-class Fortunat Mueller-Maerki Library & Research Center. We publish the widely referenced Watch & Clock Bulletin and Mart & Highlights in addition to books written by our members, who are experts in their fields. We also offer access to online forums covering a multitude of topics as well as local, regional, and national meetings and conventions.

Membership dues and Museum admissions cover only a limited percentage of the NAWCC’s operating budget. What really keeps the NAWCC successful are charitable donations, planned gifts, and business partnerships.

Charitable donations to the NAWCC are tax deductible. Donors are invited to make donations in any amount to either our Annual Appeal or the For All Time Endowment Campaign. Donations to the Annual Appeal are used to fund Museum and Library operations as well as building and collections maintenance.  Donations to the For All Time Campaign are invested to provide long-term funding for the NAWCC.

Planned giving is a great way to create a legacy. The most common planned gifts are those specified in a will, but they can also be in the form of charitable gift annuities, which provide income for the donor as well as for the NAWCC. Planned giving can also include gifting securities, life insurance, irrevocable trusts and real estate. For more information or to request a confidential phone consultation, contact us.

Businesses Partners can support the NAWCC through unique partnership opportunities that include advertising on our website and podcasts as well as in our publications. There are also occasions to sponsor events, exhibits, and conferences and thereby create connections for further learning and marketing avenues. In these ways businesses not only support the preservation and promotion of horological history, but they also reach new audiences who benefit from the NAWCC’s many assets.
